Senior Electrical Engineer
The Sr. Electrical Engineer is responsible for the installation & maintenance of the MV Panels, Sub Panels, DBs, Generators, Change-overs & UPS for the TV Broadcast. Provide Electrical power to the Broadcast Studio & Broadcast Equipment installed in the Studio & CAR. Carry out preventive and routine maintenance of Electrical equipment in the Channel to ensure smooth running of transmission. Will be responsible for the house lighting and building maintenance.
Missions
- To provide 1st & 2nd level of support for all HV/LV Electrical Systems in the Channel
- To supervise the maintenance, service and operation of the Electrical Systems
- To supervise the Power supplied to Broadcast CAR and Equipment rooms
- To supervise the monitoring, escalation & troubleshooting of issues and faults with the Electrical installations, House lights, Generators, UPS
- To supervise routine and preventive maintenance at scheduled intervals
- To provide cabling and Power to new installations
- To keep record of maintenance and system faults
- Analyse, diagnose and troubleshoot faults and provide solutions to meet the channel requirements
- To create and maintain technical drawings of new and existing installations
- To co-ordinate and liaise with various service providers and system integrators for the upkeep and maintenance of the systems
- Perform other duties relevant to the job as requested
- To prepare RFI, RFPs and carry out Technical Evaluations
Required skills
- Very well versed with the installation and maintenance of HV/LV Electrical Systems in the Broadcast Industry
- Demonstrate proper safety practices and procedures while installing, designing, troubleshooting and servicing Electrical Systems
- Understand the importance of good work habits, communication practices, and computation skills
- Obtained required overall industry competencies in the areas of Electrical Systems
- To be able to read and troubleshoot problems as per the given Engineering drawings
- To be able to handle a group and have good supervisory skills
- Provides expertise to identify and translate system requirements into conceptual design and then into specifications
- Understand the importance of good work habits, communication practices, and computation skills
- Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others
Required qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineer or any related discipline
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a News/Sports/Entertainment channel or relevant field
