Chief Innovation & Information Officer
Tom Keaveny is beIN MEDIA GROUP’s Chief Innovation & Information Officer, and is responsible for the Technology, Digital, Data Analytics, Product Marketing, and Anti-Piracy departments across the global sports and entertainment broadcaster. Mr Keaveny was appointed to this role in summer 2020, after spending two-and-a-half years as beIN MEDIA GROUP’s Managing Director for the Middle East & North Africa (MENA).
Mr Keaveny first joined beIN in 2015, and drove the broadcaster’s aggressive expansion in Asia-Pacific where he launched beIN’s first dedicated direct-to-consumer football streaming player, beIN SPORTS CONNECT; tripled the company’s distribution for beIN SPORTS; and augmented beIN SPORTS’ offering through strategic rights acquisitions in the region.
Tom Keaveny has extensive experience in leading, innovating and scaling media businesses in Asia-Pacific, EMEA and Latin America. Prior to beIN, he held a number of senior positions at Discovery, including President of Global Distribution for Discovery Networks International, CEO of Discovery/Eurosport Joint Sales Organization, and President and Managing Director of Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific. Before Discovery his career involved senior positions at Eurosport, Channel 4 and ITV in the UK.
