Systems Engineer/Specialist
Systems Engineer/ Specialist is responsible to manage, operate and maintain systems, solutions and services delivered by IT Systems section. Provide proactive and reactive support, address incidents and problems to all systems and related infrastructures including software and hardware. Work on new initiatives of IT Systems for the continuous infrastructure and service improvement projects.
Missions
- Provide business, data, application and technology leadership on Citrix and Netscaler infrastructure platforms (XenMobile, Netscaler, ShareFile, XenDesktop & XenApp Solutions).
- Defining Citrix strategy level target architectures, supporting Citrix XenMobile, XenDesktop and Netscaler environment and projects, preparing project deliverables and documentation as needed to support Citrix Architecture-related initiatives.
- Responsible for managing the day-to-day administration, planning, and problem solving for the Citrix environment on a 24x7 basis.
- Install, manage and troubleshoot Citrix enterprise mobility management.
- Identify inefficiencies, gaps and issues, and drive the analysis and documentation of technical requirements for Citrix Infrastructure architecture, guiding adoption of and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Administer, manage and maintain all IT Systems solutions, services, systems and infrastructure.
- Investigate user and system problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solution.
- Install, configure, and maintain Servers, Citrix Virtual Infrastructure, Active directory, ADFS, SQL servers, Clusters, Web & Application servers, Backup solutions, Hyper-V, DNS, DHCP, and other services.
- Develop and conduct various training and instruction for system users, Helpdesk and NOC team on systems, services and other applications.
- Identify utilization patterns and their effect on service/system availability and performance expectations.
- Anticipate systems and service problems and implement preventive measures.
- Perform maintenance in compliance with company and vendor standards.
- Ensure Security standards, policies and organization and IT policies and procedures are followed.
- Investigate, recommend and implement enhancements and operating procedures that optimize system/service availability.
- Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
- Evaluate and/or recommend purchases of servers, storage, hardware and software.
- Document problems and resolutions for future reference.
- Keep self-updated with latest technologies.
- Assist team leader and unit supervisor in their tasks.
- Work in off-hours on-call rotation and available 24*7.
- Escalate issues/problems that require immediate attention.
- Liaise with other teams, helpdesk, customers as and when required.

Required qualifications
- Education: Minimum Bachelor degree in Computer Eng., Computer Science or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in IT domain, IT Systems Administration in mid-to-large enterprise preferred or any similar role. 5+ years of experience working in Citrix environment
- Citrix CCA-V, CCP-M, CC-SHAREFILE preferred.
- Certification in Microsoft (MCSE/MCTS) and Cloud Computing Technologies is preferred.
