The arrival of Lionel Messi to Paris Saint-Germain helped beIN SPORTS MENA gain a whopping +76% rise in viewership of October 24th’s ‘Le Classique’. This 2021/22 campaign has already seen a rise in interest in the French top flight after the 6-time Ballon d’Or winner arrived in the French capital this summer.
The Premier League has also recorded stellar viewerships linked to superstars. The clash between Manchester United and Liverpool saw a growth of +111% on the same fixture last season. 28 million viewers tuned in to a fixture which saw one of the greatest players in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo take on a player in the form of his life in Mohammed Salah – an icon across the region.
