2015 AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS TO AIR
beIN SPORTS to Provide Comprehensive Coverage of Africa’s Most Popular Soccer Tournament to U.S. and Canadian Viewers
MIAMI, FL – December 18, 2014
beIN SPORTS, the international sports network, is adding to its international soccer programming to include Africa’s most popular soccer competition, The African Cup of Nations. The tournament, featuring the top national teams and players from across Africa, will be available exclusively on beIN SPORTS, beIN SPORTS en Español and beIN SPORTS CONNECT.
The 30th edition of the competition commences on Saturday, January 17, 2015 with the opening match between Equatorial Guinea vs Congo. The knockout round begins on Saturday, January 31 ahead of the final on Sunday, February 8.
The 16 qualifying countries were split into four groups of four for the group phase of the 2015 tournament with exciting pairings including:
- Group A: Equatorial Guinea, Burkina Faso, Gabon, Congo
- Group B: Zambia, Tunisia, Cape Verde, DR Congo
- Group C: Ghana, Algeria, South Africa, Senegal
- Group D: Ivory Coast, Mali, Cameroon, Guinea
beIN SPORTS will feature original news, editorial analysis and multimedia elements leading up to match day to complement broadcast coverage.
